Welcome

We specialize in understanding human-wildlife interactions on farms and in cities, from the individual scale to the landscape scale. The Kross Conservation Lab is based at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are also affiliated with the department of Ecology, Evolution & Environmental Biology at Columbia University.

Creative Conservation Science

Our team work on understanding, managing and enhancing the interactions between people and wildlife in human-dominated systems like cities, suburbs, and farms. We also focus on ways to improve conservation education in traditional and nontraditional settings, and are committed to sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm.

Want to join the lab?
